BYMC’s Elizabeth Thomas and Chevon Drew on The Rest is Noise, on East Village Radio .com Today at 12pm ET

There are many programs that aim to help the babies of disadvantaged young mothers, but few that focus on supporting a mother directly, so that she can take care of herself and her baby better. That’s what The Brooklyn Young Mothers’ Collective does by providing disadvantaged young mothers with a comprehensive set of services focused on their educational attainment and social development to help them to become self-sufficient adults.
This Wednesday December 28, the BYMC will host a charity dance party at NYC’s le poisson rouge beginning at 10pm ET. The event features DJs Rich Medina and Akalepse with special guests DJ Evil Dee and Lord Finesse for a dance party benefiting The Brooklyn Young Mothers Collective. More info can be found here, or listen live to The Rest is Noise, Wednesday at 12pm ET, when Elizabeth Thomas from the foundation and event organizer Chevon Drew will be live in studio to talk about their efforts.
